For over 30 years, the people of the Nuba Mountains of Sudan have experienced immense suffering brought on by racial injustice evident in the Arabisation practices of the Sudanese government on the Nuba people. The government of Sudan has committed genocidal crimes and ethnic cleansing against the Nuba people. Schools have been decimated, swaths of homes, farmland and livelihoods bombed and turned into ashes. Women and children have endured the indignation of mass rapes, abduction and forced marriages, slavery and extra judicial killings of innocent civilians.
One In Four is founded on the belief that people from all works of life deserve to live a life of dignity, Freedom and to enjoy their human rights as is enshrined in the Human Rights charter.
By Choosing to gift us in your WILL, One In Four will continue the work of rebuilding the Nuba Mountains and refugee communities from scratch through education, capacity building programs and economic empowerment initiatives in marginalised communities in Sudan to uplift them from a life of absolute poverty and indignity
One In Four appreciates all gifts large or small with immeasurable gratitude. Through your thoughtfulness, you support our vision to make accessible knowledge to all who seek. We are committed to eradicating poverty by building a future where all children can read and write.
